Running around crazy… yet somehow finishing up stuff.
The EP is pretty much done… Getting mixed next week.. The art work is ridiculous… The whole package is going to be great.. Seth Jones did a great job producing, all of the guys I had come out killed.. Much thanks to all of them for playing a part in my dreams…
I can not wait for you guys to hear it…. Soon..very soon you will.

Long time no write…
We are on the homestretch with the record… Going to be great.. Can not wait for you to hear. We are adding last minute touches. Little bits here and there. The beginning of Dec. be looking out for the new record- “The Invitation”
We got some great stuff coming up and a great CD Release party- “Release the Beast” here in Nashville. We will post the date soon. Going to be a lot of fun and a lot of special guest. There is a lot more news coming up that I am not at the liberty to state at this time….. but sure is going to be fun.
Starting to write for some new stuff… even though the EP is not even released yet… and I am really enjoying the direction it is headed.

This is one of my favorite songs….This song is just full of truth and is just amazing… I think the fact about John Mark McMillan that I like the most is he is real. He is going to do what his heart tells him to do. He is going to follow Christ, he is going to write songs that scream his relationship with Christ. I think Christ honors that, and that is where real worship is starts…….
As you may know, I am in the studio finishing up an album…. I am very excited about this record. I really feel like this record is going to be meet people where they are at, and shine a little light. I know this cause it has in my life. Pray with me as i continue to pray for this album.. i will keep on bringing you updates as we walk through getting this album done… and some Vlogs…

So I am sitting here writing just me myself and I, thinking about a new way to go about writing this new song. I want it to be different, fresh but most importantly an anthem. An anthem of how great our God is. See God does not have ego problem, He knows He is the stuff. if Jesus was right in front of you, with how you are feeling in this moment, (not time for a sunday school answer) what would you want to say to Him. What would you want to yell, scream, whisper to Him…He already knows your hearts desire, your deepest secrets so no holding back… What would you want to let Him know.
The biggest question… no matter what church, denomination, religious background… how would you put to words your feeling, pain and love. What is the words to express what he has done for you.
Love, passion, Romance.
If it doesnt matter how you express, nothing holding you back.
What would it be?
I am putting together a song. Words, feelings, emotions, pains, sorrows and pulling back the skin and asking Him to pour in Himself.
I want to be our song, our anthem.. We are pushing past a genre, a 3 minute song, a sound.. but I can not do it along. This is for you, your mom, dad, sister, brother, friend, enemy, coworker. This is our anthem. Lets do this together and just see what God does…
Lets just scream out everything we have and ask God to breathe in a new life. A new air to live on. Tell everyone to dive in and let me know.

I read this blog on John Mark McMillans blog the other day.. Figured I would pass it on… This is a great article
A while ago I read an article in the Washington Postcalled Pearls Before Breakfast. This article was about an experiment.
A professional violinist would stand in the Washington DC metro posing as a street musician and serenade DC commuters on there way to work. But it wouldn’t be just any violinist. It would be Joshua Bell “one of the finest classical musicians in the world, playing some of the most elegant music ever written on one of the most valuable violins ever made”. The purpose would be to see how differently people would respond to him as opposed to the average street musician.
What they found was pretty striking: Of the thousands of people traveling to work that day, ALMOST NO ONE PAID HIM ANY ATTENTION. In fact only one woman stopped to listen and that was because she recognized his face from a concert three weeks before. “Here he was, the international virtuoso, sawing away, begging for money. She had no idea what the heck was going on, but whatever it was, she wasn’t about to miss it.”
“It was the most astonishing thing I’ve ever seen in Washington,” The woman says. “Joshua Bell was standing there playing at rush hour, and people were not stopping, and not even looking, and some were flipping quarters at him! Quarters! I wouldn’t do that to anybody. I was thinking, Omigosh, what kind of a city do I live in that this could happen?”
My point is this: Sometimes it doesn’t matter how good you are, how correct you are, how smart you are, how creative you are or how passionate you are. If you are in the wrong place, at the wrong time, or doing it the wrong way, then you could very well be wasting your time. The key word here is “context”.
Figured I should post something as I have been absent for awhile. I have been really busy lately and have devoted all of my time to. The EP is coming along great… really is great. Thanks to everyone who has helped this happen. The only part that is hard now is waiting. Lots of work and lots of waiting, but I promise it going to be worth the while. We are now working on the artwork for the album and more. Everything is coming out nice.
We have some dates coming up in Oct. We are headed out to GA to do some stuff. If you are in the area please come out.
We are back in the studio in a couple of weeks, to finish stuff up. We will be doing plenty of Live Video Cast, and soundclips here and there of the new stuff so keep an ear out….

So I have been non stop busy. I was in the studio last week working on a new album. Everything is going great and I am really looking forward to you hearing it. I had a photo shoot done for the album, almost lost all of the photos when the drive went bad. All is well now as we have fixed them all.
The main reason for this blog is Derek Webb’s new album. He has a new song on the album titled- “What matters more” This song has messed me up. I can not get this song off of my chest. It has been replaying over and over in my head. I think it is 1st off- Brilliant, and also Truth. A cry out to Christians, simply put- “What Matters More”. We get so focused sometimes on how people are, or what they are doing wrong, that we forget they are made in Jesus’ image. We focus on one people and forget we are all sinners. Does this mean we condone it…no. But we love as Christ first loved us. The one with the plank in the eye. I think this song is also a wake up call. For a good while now, churches and denominations and christians and families have been fighting over how God is coming to save, and when, and who, and how etc… and we fight and we bicker. We have to stay focused and not pursue anything but Christ. Then all will fall into place. It is time to step back, re-focus and push on as one focusing on what matters more.
